TrueAmateurs
Overview
True Amateurs set out to offer the real thing: videos made by genuine couples, shot from their own point of view, then vetted for quality before being published. The result has the intimacy of home-made footage with far better picture quality than most amateur content. The collection runs to a few hundred scenes of around twenty-five minutes, in Full HD, with a varied cast of everyday couples. The site is easy to use, with advanced filters, favourites, watch lists, a timeline player and Chromecast support. The problem is that it has stood still. No new scenes have been added for years, so this is a closed archive. Downloads require an expensive upgrade, and there are no bonuses or photo galleries.
The good
- Authentic couples with a natural, intimate feel
- Much better video quality than typical amateur content
- Varied cast of real-looking people
- Good filters, watch lists and Chromecast
The bad
- No new scenes for years
- Downloads need an expensive upgrade
- No bonus sites or photo galleries
- Little information about the couples
Conclusion
True Amateurs has a pleasant, believable archive for fans of real couples. As it is no longer updated, it only makes sense as a short membership to watch what is there, or as part of a larger network deal.
