Jerkmate logo

Jerkmate is a live cam site that tries to take the work out of finding someone to watch. Tell it what you like and a built-in assistant guides you to a matching performer, which makes it far less overwhelming than a wall of thumbnails if you are new to cams. If you prefer to choose for yourself, the filters are thorough: gender, body type, hair colour, ethnicity and more. Performers are responsive and the general standard is high, and the format is interactive, with models reacting to what viewers ask for. You can browse for free, though you will need an account to get the full experience, and as on every cam site the private shows are paid. The design has a few rough edges, but nothing that gets in the way.

MyFreeCams logo

MyFreeCams has been around since 2004 and is one of the original cam communities. It still draws tens of millions of visits a month, with around a thousand models online at any given time, and it has kept the loyal, chatty atmosphere that made it popular. True to its name, a great deal is free. You can watch public rooms and chat without paying, and tipping is what moves a show along. Thumbnails double as live previews, and you can find performers through tags, trending lists and member ratings and comments. Models can also sell their own videos and photo galleries through the built-in MFCShare store. The design is old-fashioned and the search tools could go further, and you may run into the odd glitch. Private shows are paid, as usual.

SextPanther logo

SextPanther is a platform for private, one-to-one contact with adult performers and creators. Instead of watching a public stream, you message a model directly, and can exchange texts, photos, voice notes and videos, or move to a phone or video call. Hundreds of performers are available, from well-known names to independent creators, across a wide range of specialities. You can browse profiles and preview content before spending anything, and new models join all the time. It runs on pay-as-you-go. Each performer sets their own prices per message, per picture and per minute, and those rates are shown up front, so there are no surprises. The other side of that is that an enjoyable conversation can become expensive quickly.

SlutRoulette logo

SlutRoulette applies the Chatroulette idea to live cams: you are paired at random with a performer and can skip to the next with one click. It has been around since 2010, draws millions of visits a month, and lets you narrow the randomness with around twenty categories. Watching is free at the basic level. The concept is fun, and there is no shortage of performers online. The experience around it is the problem. Recent testing found sign-up redirecting to a sister site, logins and password resets failing, and pop-ups and overlay notifications interrupting the video. Without a working account, chat and cam-to-cam are out of reach, and registering brings a stream of promotional emails with misleading subject lines.

OleCams logo

OléCams is a live cam site with Spanish roots, divided into three sections, girls, couples and trans, each with its own set of thirty-plus categories and filters for seventeen countries. Public chat can be watched without paying. Its most useful feature is transparency about cost. A price filter lets you choose performers by rate, and the per-minute price in credits is shown right on the buttons for private and VIP shows, so you know what a show will cost before you start. Performers can broadcast from mobile, and every profile has a link for reporting content. Where it is less open is behind the scenes. The site does not clearly publish what a credit costs in real money, nor who operates it, and there are no performer ratings to guide you. An account is needed to watch the free shows.
